 Double Loss7th Nov 2009 
Both open age sides suffered close defeats this weekend. The 1st team goind down 22-18 at Rylands, with the A team suffering a last minute defeat at home to Higginshaw by 24-26

Derby Victory4th Oct 2009 

The Under 18's notched up their first win of the season, with a well earned victory against local rivals Thatto Heath. In a tough game at Close Street, the team came out

14 - 20 victors.

 

Under 13's Scalp4th Oct 2009 
After a slow start to the season, the Under 13's came up with a massive 58 - 26 victory over previously unbeaten Folly Lane.

 

Recs Draw Simmies3rd Oct 2009
In a repeat of last seasons final, Recs have drawn Simms Cross in the second round of the Lancashire Cup. The fixture will be played on the 16th Oct at City Road.

 

Recs Players Star28th Sep 2009 
Tom Connick, Danny Filson and Kurtis Marsh help Lancashire Under 19's to a resounding 46-22 victory over Cumbria on Sunday.

 

Excellent Performances27th Sep 2009 
The Under 11's, 12's and 13's all produced fantastic performances today. All three showed great effort and will soon be on the right end of the score board.

Pilkington Recs have 11 players in the Under 18 Service Area Squad for Saturday's RFL Regional Carnival at Hopwood Hall, Rochdale. The players are: Ste Ellison, Ben Farrar, Matty Foreman, Jon Frodsham, Raz Hilliard, Ben Hughes, Andy Knapper, Chris Lee, Ryan Liptrot, Josh Lynch and Danny Morris. Congratulations and good luck to all the lads

The A Team showed off their new kit on Saturday.  The return to traditional Red, Amber and Black hoops was well received by players and spectators. Massive thanks goes to Lievesleys Bakery and The Windle for their sponsorship.  Full Image

Despite suffering defeats the Under 11's & 12's showed great determination and character today when facing very good opposition.  A big well done to the teams

The Under 15's recorded thier first win of the season with a resounding victory over Leigh Miners.

 

Mixed Results

The first team recorded a fine victory over Wigan St Cuthberts with a 17-16 result. The A team put in a fantastic effort at Leigh Central, but couldn't quite hold on for a win going down 19-13.  Reports to follow in the week

City Road

After a summer of uncertainty, work on City Road is nearing completion.   A huge amout of work has been invested by the members with numerous businesses donating much needed materials.  With the changing rooms now completed, attention can finally be focused on the playing field.
