The first team continued their assault on the North West Counties Premier Division with a victory at champions Bank Quay Bulls. The 24 - 31 victory keeps the team on course the championship. With 3 games remaining, the team cannot afford to lose a game to have a chance of winning the title for the first time in 30 years.

The first team came desperatley close to beating professional outfit Batley in todays Carnegie Challenge Cup Third Round.  The boys have done everyone at the club proud after an inspirational performance.

The Under 18's capped a fine season, by winning the Premier Division after a fantastic 14 - 4 victory over second placed Widnes St Maries.

The under 18's moved one step closer to the Premier Division title with an outstanding 72 - 6 win over Golborne at City Road today.  The team face challengers Widnes St Maries on Sunday where victory will see them crowned champions with 2 games remaining.

The 1st and 2nd teams both dented their championship hopes with losses today.  The 1st team lost 20-10 against unbeaten Simms Cross, whilst the 2nd suffered an unexpected defeat at the hands of St.Helens Wild Boars.

The Challenge Cup 3rd Round against Batley Bulldogs will take place at Saints GPW Recruitment Stadium.
The fixture will be played on Sunday 8th March with a 3pm kick off.

The third round of the Challenge Cup saw the Recs drawn at home to Co-Operative League 1 outfit Batley Bulldogs.  The game will be played on the 7th/8th March with the venue yet to be decided.

After a fantastic result over National League outfit Wigan St Judes, the first team are in the draw for the 3rd Round of the Carnegie Challenge Cup.  The squad will no doubt be listening to Tuedays draw to see if they get drawn against a professional outfit.

The First Team continued thier unbeaten run in the league, with a hard fought victory over Golborne. Andy Lyons scored 6 minutes from time to seal an 18 - 14 win.  Report

The Under 18's will continue their defence of the National Cup with a tough draw away from home at Leigh East.  The game will be played on the 15th February

The second team got back to winning ways with a convincing display beating Widnes Tigers 58-16 at City Road.  The victory keeps them on top of the Division 5 table.

Recs have progressed to the second round of the Carnegie Challenge Cup following a thrilling 14-24 victory at Milford Marlins on Saturday.

A fightback inspired by Recs stand off Ryan Rogers and club captain John Rees saw the City Road men defeat the Leeds-based leaders of National Conference Division Two to go through to the next round.

Centre Nigel Pratt and Rees both scored braces, while sub Andy Parr also registered a try. Skipper Ste Rawsthorne kicked two goals.

Rogers, who had a hand in four of Recs’ second half tries, was named man of the match.
