The third round of the Challenge Cup saw the Recs drawn at home to Co-Operative League 1 outfit Batley Bulldogs. The game will be played on the 7th/8th March with the venue yet to be decided. More details will follow. |

Recs have progressed to the second round of the Carnegie Challenge Cup following a thrilling 14-24 victory at Milford Marlins on Saturday. A fightback inspired by Recs stand off Ryan Rogers and club captain John Rees saw the City Road men defeat the Leeds-based leaders of National Conference Division Two to go through to the next round. Centre Nigel Pratt and Rees both scored braces, while sub Andy Parr also registered a try. Skipper Ste Rawsthorne kicked two goals. Rogers, who had a hand in four of Recs’ second half tries, was named man of the match. |
